    I skip a lot of these on each album. Just curious which s-----y song rises to the top.

    Qualifications:

    - Song has to be a generic love song, so all his actual good stuff aimed at Kim doesn't qualify.
    - Song can't be a metaphor about drugs or the "game."
    - Major releases
    - Collabs disqualified like Love Game. Hooks don't count.

    But you can be addicted to a person. The song feels nothing like one about drugs or anything else but two people waging war on each other.

    So Much Better and especially Normal are NOT generic love songs, not only do they not sound like it, they're about different things. So Much Better is about being pissed at a woman and there's no sentiment of love there really, and with Normal, it's a meditation on who's to blame for a dysfunctional relationship -- both Marshall and the woman at different times and in different ways.

    Nitpicky, sorry, but I wouldn't have put those songs on the list. Of every song on the list, Normal is the best by far. Of the actual generic love songs, probably Space Bound, but In Too Deep and She Loves Me have the best choruses.
