Jul 21, 2015 After listening to the Southpaw soundtrack it's becoming clear that Eminem is rapidly declining Comparing his songs on there to Beast and Mode it seems like Eminem is hanging on to stay relevant but he is getting outdone by other rappers It's crazy to think that the 8 Mile Soundtrack was highlighted by Eminems contribution but in this case 13 years later on a soundtrack he isn't really standing out at all Thoughts?
Jul 21, 2015 He's not irrelevant He's always like this inbetween albums, it's nothing new. Wait until Roots comes out and you'll see
Jul 21, 2015 Totally disagree. He just isn't out as much as other musicians to be all over the news headlines. Like the guy above me said, whenever he releases an album his name is out there, at times like this, he just lays low in a sense.
Jul 21, 2015 If every album you put out goes Platinum and only a handful of other rappers can do that you are far from irrelevant
Jul 21, 2015 No he isn't. He just hasn't had an album in almost two years. It's always like this when he hasn't put out an album for a while.
Jul 21, 2015 If you mean irrelevant like in conversations about who the best out is, you could make the argument that he's fallen out of that discussion, but he will never be irrelevant in the industry. He'll always have instant name recognition and no matter the quality of the music, his albums will always do big numbers.
Jul 21, 2015 he's far from irrelevant. i think you could make an argument that he's irrelevant to hip-hop--at least in the sense that people don't take stylistic cues from him--but that's actually always been the case. there was never a time when eminem imitators flooded radio.
Jul 21, 2015 Yeah i noticed that at the southpaw premier. He was like a ghost, like he didn't even exist..
Jul 21, 2015 ShadyXV did 140,000 in the U.S its first week. a compilation album that wasn't received very well . He's not irrelevant.
