Jun 23, 2015 Young Thug and Lil Wayne are facing off this Independence Day. Both rappers will release their new projects on the same day. Earlier today, Thugger announced that his next mixtape, Slime Season, will drop on July 4. “July 4th lets get it!!” he posted, along with a teaser for a new song produced by London on Da Track. Just last week, Wayne announced that he would release his Free Weezy Album on the same day. The project is expected to drop via Jay Z’s streaming service TIDAL, in which he is a co-owner. This is the latest saga in an ongoing battle between the rappers.
