Feb 3, 2017 Random theory that just popped into my head when Fine Line came up on shuffle. It was promoted by the target lines "...all I wanna do is walk around inside it...". It's one of many, many times Ems moaned about his level of fame preventing him from having a normal life. So... what if all the garbage verses are intentional? There's no way, in the age of forums and social media, that he's unaware of the disapproving opinions of the masses that once considered him one of the g.o.a.t's. There's just no way. What if he's letting the quality of his music decline so consistently in the hope that, one day, everyone will stop giving a f--- about him, he'll be labelled a has-been, and he'll finally be able to you out about with minimal intrusion from crazed fans. I struggle to see how someone who once made songs such as T.I.C, Lose Yourself and I'm Back could lose the ability to make such music. We've seen glimpses of it on each post-hiatus album, we know the ability's still there. What if all the tracks he's made of that calibre are being locked in the vault ready for posthumous release. Maybe he's formulated a very lengthy plan to lose as much appeal as he can, while still making crazy money, so he can finally walk around Target, just to browse around inside it. Meanwhile, there's an a 10 disk release, full of nothing but classics, slowly being pieced together to A) ensure Hailie and any future grandkids/great grandkids never want for anything and flip a giant bird to all of us that doubted him. There's no doubt we'll get an abundance of unreleased s--- when he dies, it would kinda be a genius move if this was how he's playing it. I firmly believe he's just fallen off, from an unfathomable height, and forgotten how to put together appealing bars... but what if....
Feb 3, 2017 if he's a troll he's a s--- one "haha! look at me guys i'm actually s--- at rapping! hahah got you!"
Feb 3, 2017 history just repeats itself with eminem stans. they said the same thing with that yellow wolf feature in 2012
Feb 3, 2017 And there was no in-between You either loved it or hate it Every CD critics gave it a 3 then 3 years later they'd go back and re-rate it... A couple more years that s---'ll be illmatic
Feb 3, 2017 You people took this way too seriously. I though with all the repepetive, nonsensical idocy that gets spewed across this section you might appreciated a semi-original, almost well crafted thought. No matter how ridiculous it is. It could have been an interesting, maybe even funny conversation. But no. You ruined it for yourselves. And stans are the predictable ones
Feb 3, 2017 dude you are just like eminem "haha this was actually a s--- thread fooled you lol f---in nerds xd"
Feb 4, 2017 Something I think a lot of us lose in all of this is that yes, Eminem was "different" 15 years ago, but guess what, so were we. A lot of what we miss about the "old" Em isn't simply music that was better than what he's currently putting out, but the nostalgia we had from when we were younger and the memories we had surrounding his music back then. Listen to 'Business' or 'Say What You Say' from TES and then right after listen Em's verse from 'My Life' with 50 and Adam Levine. The delivery, multis, etc is without a doubt better on 'My Life' than those songs, yet very of us would realize this, since those older songs are apart Em's golden age. I'm convinced 30% of what we miss is the music and 70% of what we miss is the nostalgia surrounding the music. To OP's point, no I don't think Em is intentionally screwing his music up...and to be honest if he wanted to walk into Target, he could....one time I was in Barnes and Noble reading magazines in New Jersey, and who walks right in front of me to the motorcycle magazine section but Bruce f*cking Springsteen...and in NJ, Bruce is a legend. Guy was five feet away from me and I didn't bother him one bit. End rant.
