    I know this debate comes in every thread in this forum.

    just wanted to make discussion in details and know the reasons.

    My opinion:

    Old Eminem is clever lyrically, deep emotionally, had crazy flows that makes you want to destroy the gym while working out, had the badass personality in his music and interviews, had a charisma and leadership status, was having fun doing every thing and funny as h---, was more relevant mainstream wise, and people were hyped all the time about him and he became the 1st role model at that time.

    New Eminem: Much more complex in his lyrics scheme, focuses so much on wordplays and punchlines, Okay flow but definitely not comparable to his old, soft in interviews and no more charisma, his clothing aren't as cool as it was before, not too much emotions on music, and not so much relevant in mainstream but still number 1 rapper.

    Old Eminem:
    - Positives:
    * Always flawless songs.
    * adrenaline rushes whenever we hear anything about him.
    * Didn't even try to sound cool, but he was naturally.
    * Humble
    * Hungry and passionate
    * Mysterious and shady

    - Negatives:
    * Bad attitude to him family, mother and ex-wife.
    * Too much drugs (Not necessarily bad thing cause it made his music better).

    New Eminem:
    - Positives:
    * Bigger fan base.
    * Apologized to his mother and built a house for Kim.
    * He's the biggest artist around the world and considered a legend.
    * More honesty in his lyrics.
    * Much clever lyrics

    - Negatives:
    * Not hungry anymore
    * Doesn't have his old charisma
    * Softer
    * Less music, we beg him to release new songs.
    * Bitching a lot about his life while he's multi millionaire.
    * Not mysterious anymore

    ..

    In his music style:

    I think we tend to love his older stuff because when he rapped, his voice was clear and simple, and his beats were so much better old schooly. However now, his production is s-----y, hard to understand.. he tries to fit 3140934043 words in a line sometimes, his beats are trash, his voice now isn't clear and doesn't have the old vibe.

    ...

    As an artist, Eminem now = Eminem 1999-2004. but he took different pathway. I still enjoy his new music.

    your opinions ?

    If you think current Em is better than older Em, something is wrong with you.

    @Pato

    Come on guys, Don't act like you didn't like the Shadiness of old Eminem.

    It is a component that contributed in his success. watch his old interview, he talked in a way that made us want to know his future steps, unlike now when he says I ran out of ideas and I will recycle my music and I'm good with every body and Drake, Macklemore, Drake are dope.

    I agree, I'm optimistic about his future works. I like MMLP2, I liked Most of Shady XV, Best friend, Medicine Man, and The hills remix.

    He's dope in past, now, and future.

    "Mysterious" is not the word

    Also just because he has all the money in the world it doesn't means he can't feel human emotions and miss his past relationships :rockynotimpressed:
