Jan 15, 2016 Spoiler: Doug Pederson He was a Quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, and the Philadelphia Eagles spanning from the year of 1993 and ending his career in 2004. In that time, he mostly served as a backup to Brett Favre. As far as coaching goes, he has not been a head coach since 2008 where he was in command of a high school team. They made their state playoffs all four years he was coach and finished with a 33-7 regular season record. As most Eagles fans know, he served on the staff for the team for a few years as well. After being hired in 2009, he was the Offensive Quality Control coach until 2010 before being the Quarterbacks coach. After his stint with the Eagles, he went to Kansas City with Andy Reid and became their offensive coordinator. Pending the Chiefs loss in the playoffs, it will then be announced that he will become the Eagles new head coach. He did well the past two seasons and has improved Alex Smith. Since he is supposedly a Quarterback guy, I'd like to see him stick with Bradford and see how the two work together. Players like Zach Ertz will get more catches because Pederson likes using his tight ends a lot, which is something Chip Kelly lacked getting into the game plan. After the reports of Philadelphia hiring Pedersen after the playoffs came out, I automatically felt that they regretted firing Reid. This guy is pretty much Reid Jr. He's definitely not the most popular with fans from what I have seen but neither was Reid, and look how he turned out. I figured I'd type this up for fellow Eagles fans to get a little background info on him. Here is to hoping that next season is not as bad as the last. @The Product @Arch Dogg @Boos @Colonel Mustang
Jan 15, 2016 I was disappointed at first but I'm feeling pretty optimistic about him now. @NyKill @Noid thoughts?
Jan 15, 2016 First mock draft I saw has them taking Robert Nkemdiche, d-lineman from Ole Miss. Wierd choice because I think the d-line is set, unless they plan on switching back to a 4-3 like they had under Reid. I still think o-line is a much bigger need.
Jan 15, 2016 I clearly remember him stepping in for a hurt Dan Marino and throwing a INT on his first pass.
Jan 15, 2016 You know what... I take this back... I think Pedersen was 3rd string and it was Marino's second string guy who threw an pic on his 1st pass... then got injuried as well, before Doug stepped in.
Jan 15, 2016 I'm looking forward to it. I don't see why everyone wanted chip out and won't even give this guy a chance. If he does anything like Andy Reid did with the organization id be happy.
Jan 19, 2016 GOD f---ing d---.... We should have kept Shurmur with the scraps that were left. At least we could have kept Chip's system with a pro-style twist and he would have related to the players better AND appealed to Bradford. Instead we got the most boring man on the planet. f--- Roseman and f--- Lurie.
