without a doubt one of the most important songs of eminems career, yet it gets so much hate on the forums.



i can see why people would feel either way, but i truly think it's a great song. it captured the whole idea of recovery perfectly in one song, and unlike what we see from most songs today, showed some real emotion.

idk i sound cheesy now, but y'all haters can make like bees with no stingers and drop dead.

Liked it back in 2010.

I'm making a point to let you know how much I really can't stand people trying to exalt the n-----'s verse on that song when The Weeknd was most definitely better off doing The Official Remix with someone else like Ty Dolla $ign or Juicy J. Em' was almost as corny on "Not Afraid" as he ended up eventually being on "The Hills Remix". Just trying to make a point to shut you Stanleys up.

I been through adversity and it's still a trash song. Just like Beautiful is, too. Pathetic. He's made better songs for people who've gone through some real excrement-equivalent experiences/encounters in their life. That's inevitable. I'm not going to pat him on the back because it was him revealing himself, flaws and all, to fans and other casual listeners alike.

I REALLY like it. But this is what pisses me off about Eminem "fans".
After Lose Yourself, everyone wanted a "serious" first single, they were fed up with the corny pop s---. Recovery came along, we got a serious first single that was actually good and people hated on it. Double standards quite frankly.

yea def one of most important songs of his career. the comeback song. rising above it all. could have been outstanding, Lose Yourself tier. Instead we got a poorly written, cliche ridden, generic, cheesy, "deep" comeback song.

production awful & cheap, hook sucks a---, visuals on the video are nxt lvl cringe, & again holy s--- at the writing. "I pull my d-ck from the dirt and f--- the universe", "s---t for the moon but im gazing for the stars", etc. etc. etc.

not tryna be an Eminem hater or someone whos bashin his s--- just cuz but the song is fkn terribad & it could've been the complete opposite.
