Feb 12, 2021 I feel like coming for Em would be the most easiest yet pointless things ever. Hate to compare the two but it's like going after South Park it's pointless because it's just what they do so they get some weird pass of course that's not universal but I feel the only thing that could actually truly cancel Em is actual accusations not lyrics. Which will never happen though if you go by what the people of S80 think because to them he's a 24/7 hat wearing recluse who hasn't had sex since encore/might actually be a virgin.
Feb 12, 2021 i mean, em is the ONLY white artist to traffic in black music who has consistently honored the genre. clown the guys output all u want, but hes championed black music in a way few major stars have or will. by contrast justin timberlake is case zero for someone -- trained and manufactured to be a star like the manuchurian candidate -- who used the music/style when it suited him then bounced. from disney s--- to boy bands co-opting 'urban' sound, to becoming white america's michael jackson, dude is just a shapeshifting conformist. and that includes now with this performative apology. at least em -- who couldve been a s-----y movie star like justin, or couldve made safe rock music -- made the clear choice to stay in his specific lane.
