maybe a big problem with race relations is that we discriminate against people who are racist.. even in the case if that person isn't really racist. its still a person and to label them something so extreme is very insulting and its really a double standard. lets say the person is actually a racist, shouldn't we accept that is who they are, and maybe try to help them? my point is society made them that way, its not really their fault and we shouldn't be so judgmental unless they are violent towards other races, there is a difference between stereotyping and hate. unless a hate crime is involved i dont think we should even use that word, its derogatory just like the n word, because it most cases its not true. if they are hateful then it still wrong and ignorant to judge them in my opinion and like a said, a double standard cause you're labeling someone. thoughts?

very few people are genuinely racist. most are simply trying to exploit a preexisting situation. maybe that's racist in itself though

Two wrongs don't make a right.

I don't think JMG is racist. He knows I'm black and has never came at me like that throughout the years I've known him. He also knows I'm not some black guy looking for a handout either.

like is it okay to call someone an idiot just because they didn't have the proper education? why is it okay to call someone a racist if they were brought up to have different opinions? especially since they are harmless?

the fact that like 20% of white people are racist and like 80% of black people are racist is interesting seeing as how both percentages add up to around the same number of people

Calling someone out isn't being a racist. The context of the opinion is what dictates to the average person that you're racist. If it's too extreme, then it's racism. Lack of perspective can create a racist complex.

Yes exactly and too extreme to me is an actual hate crime. No opinion should warrant to be labeled something. If that context exceeds a certain point then yes they can be called hateful but the word racist is just becoming so derogatory.

last month on HHS there was a thread in which the n word was said about forty times on one page. and that site is mostly painfully, painfully white. i posted the first two letters of the word in a thread about some kanye video and got banned for 2 weeks. context is so very important to people who are prepccupied with hate and bigotry because they need it to justify their horrible behavior

my opinion on the n word is black people should treat it like whites treat being called cracker.. not care. eliminate the power the word has. people will call me racist for that opinion and its an insult to me.

If not then don't speak about the use of the word. You don't know the tension that is displayed here
