Aug 8, 2015 We all know that Eminem had almost completed Relapse 2, but never released it officially. I consider Relapse an amazing album. I know that album is dark. But the beats, flow, rhyming..s---'s perfect for horrorcore. Recovery is good as well. It has decent songs like So Bad and Cold Wind Blows. But still, I don't like it a lot. I think that Eminem should have released Relapse 2 even though it might not have been a big hit, and probably wouldn't have brought Eminem the (poppy) fame he got from Not Afraid and Love The Way You Lie. What do you think?
Aug 8, 2015 No, Recovery was the absolute right direction for him to go at the time It was the comeback that the relapse series never would've been
Aug 8, 2015 Relapse 2 could have probably been a step up from Relapse, seeing songs like Oh No, Cocaine, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, and others. It would have severely damaged his career though, so i'm glad he didn't do it.
Aug 8, 2015 If Eminem hadn't released Recovery, the fanbase would have been much better. xD About his career damage: how about his transition from Hip-hop to Pop-rap.
Aug 8, 2015 I have a question about relapse 2. Was dre gonna be the main producer just like relapse? Or was it gonna be similar to recovery with a lot of different producers?
Aug 8, 2015 I believe that Dre had produced it, as that album was a sequel to the Relapse. Relapse: Refill's producer was Dre as well...
Aug 8, 2015 Should've released Recovery in 2009 and Relapse(leaving out We Made You and Beautiful) in 2010 to solidify his legacy for sure.
Aug 8, 2015 h--- yeah. Relapse was a classic album. According to Eminem Relapse 2 had the best songs. We missed out on so many gems.
Aug 8, 2015 I don't think that Cocaine and Hit Me With Your Best Shot were made for Relapse 2. Just listen to the voice, accent, flow, beats..it just doesn't fit, imo. But we'll never know for sure
Aug 8, 2015 I think they were, but we really never will know like you said. Cocaine probably could have been in it, as it has Eminem telling us his stories, but not attempting to do anything about it, unlike Recovery.
Aug 8, 2015 Didn't he release that song himself on his website Mid 2009 as a response to Mariah Carey's song "Obsessed"? That's what I thought.
Aug 8, 2015 I don't think it would have been the worst thing in the world if he released it before recovery the feedback on the tracks he released after relapse 1 and before recovery was all pretty positive. Personally I would love to hear it, from all the things I read I really liked the direction it was heading in. It would be dope if it or some of it saw the light of day eventually.
