Jun 8, 2022 Hi all, so I have read a new interview with Skylar Grey where she mentions that she cannot accept to be seen as a songwriter and she actually does not like to write songs for other people, also she said she hates touring, so she thinks of a residency where people should travel to come see her, imo she should start to accept that she is a good songwriter for other people but with her own songs she is not as successful and probably not many people may travel to see a residency of her as she is not an A-List artist, since she did not accept to be a songwriter her manager left her as well it seems, imo it would have been smart to follow the songwriting path, if she wants to keep doing music as her full time job she has to do something where she can make a living and to limit herself to not write songs for other people or to not tour if possible that is too much of a limit if you wanna be successful imo. so what do you think about this?

Jun 8, 2022 I think she's talented, but this type of music can end up working, or being boring, even if you're popular, we have just seen it with Lorde's boring a--- album. She has songs that I like, but most are from her first project (Wear Me Out, Sunshine, Clear Blue Sky, Religion, s---, Man!, White Suburban,). I think she was good at making possitive sad songs.
