    It will never top TPAB

I'll probably end up enjoying it more but I don't see him topping tpab, quality wise.

for it to be his best album it would need to be a 11/10 or a perfect 10/10 since TPAB is a 9.6 as rated accurately by Metacritic

Impossible... Kendrick already worked with the absolute best musicians on his last album and they gave him his absolute best work in order to make one of the best composed rap albums of the decade.

In order to top it, Kendrick would need to work with the same musicians and they'd have to outdo themselves. I ain't seeing that.

Doubt it. But like someone said, it could be more mainstream/accessible, but it won't be better.

TPAB combines the best of what them black musical genres can provide, it features brilliant music.

It's not an easy listen, but I don't think that was Kendrick's intention. It's a rebellious album, he went the opposite direction everyone expected him to go... A lot of people thought he would sell-out further and cater to the radio, but he straight dropped an album complete with BrainFeeder instrumentation, weird flows, and political lyrics.

He has a long and prosperous career ahead of him, I think he's absolutely brilliant but I don't see him topping TPAB. It's already the highest rated hip hop album of the past 16 years, and for legitimate reasons imo.

And the album is finally gaining traction now with Kendrick's newfound success with his visuals.

It will be very hard to do though.

And like Punch said, the only argument that matters is that this is one of the most decorated albums of all time in regard to its musical quality.

But then again kendrick is chilling with herbie hancock, so everything is possible

he reached it with TPAB. Almost every musician from every genre is praising its composition, s--- like this hasn't happened in hip hop since MBDTF, and before that it was another kanye album.

No way, but I definitely feel like hes gonna dumb it down to appeal to more people (which means it won't be as good as his last efforts)

if anything Kendrick is more confident and has more knowledge when it comes to creating music...I think his next album will be a sum of everything he's learned about music from his early days as K.Dot to now with TPAB.

there's so amazing top quality put together movies out there with nothing but high acclaim and awards that would probably bore me to death. But that doesn't mean Beverly Hills Ninja is better than it, it just means it's not for me, or that I'm not familiar with these genres

I feel like Kendrick is gonna dumb it down to make sure it appeals to the casual listeners, something safe you know.

You just you these guys/this guy was going to come in here and say what they've said. :')

However, I agree, it's going to be really difficult to top previous projects. For me I'm just excited to see what he's going to create for the next chapter of his career. Won't be ready to compare it with others when it comes out.

oh yeah I definitely agree. I wouldn't mind kendrick retiring either... I mean, I agree with what some musicians saying about kendrick reaching perfection on tpab and everything after this will never come close.

You can already see a lot of arguments as to why its one of the best albums of all time (You can also see a lot of people not feeling it, but it has nothing to do with how great the album is) and I doubt someone can make 2 of these "goat albums" in his career. Yeah sure GKMC & S80 are great as well, but they don't transcend hip hop like tpab did
