Aug 31, 2015 Which one is better? Classic would be the time where he had 50 Cent, Obie Trice, Stat Quo, Cashis, Bobby Creekwater, etc. signed to his label, so around 2003 - 2007. Modern would be the current era, the one with Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf, so 2011 - Present. Personally I'd go with now. There may not be as many artists signed to his label, but they do feel more unique and original than the older artists. 50, Obie, Stat Quo, and Cashis all have that feel to where you can tell they made their songs in the mid 2000s. There's not much variety to them. Yela and Slaughterhouse are creative and they do have variety.
Aug 31, 2015 Shady Records is garbage know. Slaughterhouse is s---, D12 isnt D12 anymore Yelawolf doesnt get that much attention. Eminem is the only one who is relevant in the Game
Aug 31, 2015 Absurd thread. No one with a brain would say today's roster comes close to the old roster
Aug 31, 2015 Yea classic of course. And by classic I mean 2000-05 Shady Records. But h--- I would even take the 2006-07 Cashis/Creekwater era over the modern version. Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf will never even be as big as Stat Quo was at one point. Let alone D12, 50, or Obie, who were all platinum selling artists. 2003 was by far the peak of Shady Records... Eminem D12 50 Cent/G-Unit Obie Trice Stat Quo DJ Green Lantern
Aug 31, 2015 I prefer the modern Shady Records! I still love the classic one but I just think that there is like a certain feel and subjects that are more relatable and songs that are more listenable in the modern Shady Records than the classic. It's something that I thought it lacked. I'm not saying it didn't have that but it needed more of this unexplainable feeling
Aug 31, 2015 Real Shady's peak stopped before 2006. 2006/2008 shady records is f---ing terrible (The Re-Up Country Hound EP Both Cashis/Bobby Creekwater/Stat Quo ) 2001/2003 SR >>>>>>> Modern SR >>>>>>>> 2006/2008 SR
