Bishop & Kendrick have a few things in common. Both came up working with rapper The Game and BWS early on. Both from the West Coast. Both have been on Aftermath. Kendrick is the king, but Bishop should have been.

Bishop supposedly left Aftermath with 100's of records (including Dre and DJ Khalil production).

None have seen the light of day.

When did Bishop work with Game? They were loosely affiliated and mostly because Lamont was a signed writer for Aftermath.

Based on material released, Kendrick Lamar is the better writer. He shows more then he tells, explores more topics and is generally more creative.

Bishop's material focuses way too much on discrediting various forms of hip-hop instead of exploring other content. Though, when Bishop goes in he is masterful like on Goatit.

Kendrick made it without Dre, Bishop faded to obscurity without Dre.

Which Bishop album do you think is better than GKMC?

    Or, for that matter, Section.80?

what an insult to Kendrick... Kendrick is 5 times the hip hop artist bishop is.

Only a troll or biased idiot like myril would say "bishop" for the sake of going against the grain

it's not d-ck riding you idiot. Kendrick is just clearly a better lyricist, he's also much more marketable than Bishop. Bishop was good, the only thing he had better than kendrick was his beat choice. But how the f--- is a label going to market or "sell" a preachy-pastor-wannabe for hip-hop, with (a large portion of his) songs filled with devil/jesus/holy/christian content, that's also homophobic?
(I don't give a s--- about those points I made, but the world does. A person in this day and age that wants to go "big" with views and opinions like that just wont - it's not marketable)

I don't know if people are sleeping but Bishop Lamont is a dope MC that can hold his own. I've been patiently waiting for The Reformation.
