Dec 9, 2014 Bishop & Kendrick have a few things in common. Both came up working with rapper The Game and BWS early on. Both from the West Coast. Both have been on Aftermath. Kendrick is the king, but Bishop should have been.
Dec 9, 2014 I remember when ppl made a huge deal about Bish when dre signed him Kendrick still better ya bish
Dec 9, 2014 Bishop supposedly left Aftermath with 100's of records (including Dre and DJ Khalil production). None have seen the light of day.
Dec 9, 2014 Bishop Lamont of course. I bet 95% of you fa----s that says Kendrick havent even heard 5 songs of Bishop.
Dec 9, 2014 When did Bishop work with Game? They were loosely affiliated and mostly because Lamont was a signed writer for Aftermath. Based on material released, Kendrick Lamar is the better writer. He shows more then he tells, explores more topics and is generally more creative. Bishop's material focuses way too much on discrediting various forms of hip-hop instead of exploring other content. Though, when Bishop goes in he is masterful like on Goatit.
Dec 9, 2014 what an insult to Kendrick... Kendrick is 5 times the hip hop artist bishop is. Only a troll or biased idiot like myril would say "bishop" for the sake of going against the grain
Dec 9, 2014 it's not d-ck riding you idiot. Kendrick is just clearly a better lyricist, he's also much more marketable than Bishop. Bishop was good, the only thing he had better than kendrick was his beat choice. But how the f--- is a label going to market or "sell" a preachy-pastor-wannabe for hip-hop, with (a large portion of his) songs filled with devil/jesus/holy/christian content, that's also homophobic? (I don't give a s--- about those points I made, but the world does. A person in this day and age that wants to go "big" with views and opinions like that just wont - it's not marketable)
Dec 9, 2014 k dot without a doubt. i dont dislike bishop, i actually like a lot of his s---. i have the fan made copy of the reformation that was released a while ago in SL and i think its dope. why have i never heard that soldier song in the OP? that s--- dope, PM me a cdq/dirty/no dj version if you can
Dec 9, 2014 I don't know if people are sleeping but Bishop Lamont is a dope MC that can hold his own. I've been patiently waiting for The Reformation.
Dec 9, 2014 I liked Bishop back in the day, Caltroit used to be my s---. But he didnt blow up for a reason, so ya Kendrick by a lot.
