X-Files to return?

    Rumor is Fox is considering bringing back the X-Files for a limited "mini-series" type of run similar to what they did with 24 last year.

    If this happens both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson would return.

    Good idea or bad idea?

    Will be completely on board if Carter/Duchovny/Anderson return.

    The eventual Blu release would be pretty sweet too

    agreed 100% they can even throw dogget and reyes in there and i wouldn't mind...classic show a mini series would do just fine for a season

    Sounds like this could get real quick...

    While speaking with USA Today, David Duchovny said he's "more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again" with Gillian Anderson and Chris Carter. Duchovny goes on to say he believes new episodes of The X-Files will probably "happen sooner rather than later," however it won't be a full season.

    Full season as in 25 episodes? I don't think I have the energy for that either.

    I'm really excited for this. Read the news the other and it didn't specify whether it would return as a movie or a season, but OP says it will be miniseries, which I think is much more exciting in this case than a movie (especially because the second X-files movies was...err...not great).

    h--- yeah man I saw this the other day, even if its just one movie It'd be awesome. I Want To Believe was good but not the way I expected it all to end. I still watch the odd one now and again will always be one of if not my favourite tv shows.

    Make sure to play the game for PSONE as well.. it serves as an official episode from season 3, the events take place after the episode "Avatar" in that season.
