    This could be a question for women as well but in this case I’m more so asking the men. This has been a topic on my mind for a bit so I wanted to see what others think. I get called cute more often than I get called hot, but I love being cute so that’s not an issue for me at all.

    However, some men feel as if getting called cute is emasculating. They think by being called “cute” they are basically being told they are weak and can’t protect a woman. Cute could mean that, but it all depends on the context of the situation. Right now we are just purely talking compliments.

    What are your thoughts on the matter? Would you rather get called cute or hot, or does it not make a difference to you?

    True. In a lot of cases “hot” can be closer to “I wanna f--- you” than “cute”.

    Nahh I just don't care if people call me cute or hot lol. People do call me a typical man in some ways thats why I said that.

    But I don't think a dude with a bun or wearing a purse (which I see more often nowadays) is many lmao

    For some things I definitely am, but for example I don't give a s--- about cars.

    I personally love getting showered with compliments. It’s one of my love languages, I think it’s called words of affirmation or whatever. I guess I developed that way because people have always given me a lot of compliments

    Oh yeah I understand. Getting compliments gives you a good feeling thats a fact proven by scientists even. But personally I care way more about getting compliments about my work or the way I handle things.

    If you’re not happy with yourself then seeking it from others is just not going to do anything other than fill an empty void for the time being, especially for something so superficial as attractiveness or ratings. Being called hot or cute would be good when I was 12 or something and had my first crush on the girl I liked, so who cares when you’re an adult if someone thinks you’re hot or not. Just be yourself, as getting praised for your actions and who you are as a person is what we all should seek.

    I get complimented for my actions as well, but people can be superficial at times. People tell me how good of a person I am all the time, but some just don’t care about everyone I’ve helped or all the good things I’ve done. Some only care about my looks or how funny I am.
