Feb 19, 2015 @Bot made this thread in the Eminem section, but since only fgts still listen to Eminem, I thought I'd make this joint in music for those of us who are interested in females. My vote goes to My 1st Song from the Black Album. Not only is this a perfect closer to an album, but it's also the perfect way to end a career if this is in fact the album you're retiring off of (which at the time, it was).
Feb 19, 2015 My honorable mention goes to Pound Cake/Paris Morton 2 from Nothing Was The Same. Song is pretty close to perfect, and it's the type of closer that makes you go 'okay, let me play this album from the top again, I need more of this.'
Feb 19, 2015 I always thought The Message was a nice, little bit of a calm-down track after all those bangers on 2001. More recently, I think Life: The Biggest Troll (Andrew Auernheimer) was a great closing track. It just sounds like a closing credits song.
Feb 19, 2015 Oh and Last Call, classic. I listen to this story all the way through every time when I listen to CD.
Feb 19, 2015 Common - A Dream (from Finding Forever) comes to mind, really inspiring end to an album, great hook. OutKast - Chonkeyfire (from Aquemini) is another one, that wrapped up the album perfectly.
Feb 19, 2015 That reminds of a great non-Hip-Hop closing track, Outside the Wall off of Pink Floyd's The Wall. The last track ends with someone saying "Isn't this where--" and the very beginning of the first track off the album starts with "--we came in." with the same music playing faintly in the background. Dat loop.
Feb 19, 2015 @DCG what about Late though? I know it's technically a "hidden track", but I'd consider it the album's closing song .. and a good one too (ah ha ha ha ha). A couple that come to mind: Reflection Eternal - Four Women (from Train of Thought) Pharoahe Monch - Trilogy (from Desire) Other favorites: Nas - It Ain't Hard to Tell (Illmatic) A Tribe Called Quest - God Lives Through (Midnight Marauders) 2Pac - Str8 Ballin' (Thug Life) Snoop Dogg - Pump Pump (Doggystyle) Tech N9ne - This Is Me (Everready) Onyx - Walk In New York (All We Got Iz Us) Masta Ace - Revelations (A Long Hot Summer) Run The Jewels - A Christmas f---ing Miracle (Run the Jewels)
Feb 19, 2015 Great choices btw Edit: Silent Murder was a bonus track on It Was Written, don't know if ya count that.
