I'm so glad mick jenkins and vince staples appeared on the list. On the other hand, I am not sure about Ratking's album. It wasn't anything special imo, but I really don't know what would I put there instead of it.

I'm surprised Cozz & Effect cracked the list.

But then, I haven't even listened to 25 albums this year, let alone rap albums.

Good list, Boosie's and Raekwon's tapes were nice recent additions for this year that may have been overlooked. The Water(s) is very good as well, literally listened to this 2 days ago for the first time and I really liked it. The top 2 are so good man, classic albums I could say. It's definitely been a great year.

Glad to see Vince Staples pretty high up. I'd put Piñata above Dark Comedy and Cilvia Demo higher, but other than that, out of the albums I've heard, I can't really argue with their placement on the list.

Someone recently recommended me Mick Jenkins, so I've been meaning to check out The Water(s).

Will you update the list for Luca Brasi 2 when Gates inevitably drops a classic?

Solid list overall. Personally I would probably add the CunninLynguists, Sadistik, and Ana Tijoux albums.

Yeah SJ3 is a personal 2014 favourite; I think that Blasphemy by Apollo Brown and Rass Kass was one of the better releases as well.

SJv3 has lost of a bit of replay value for me now - and I'm a huge CL stan.

Interested in what @WPG thinks of Diamond District's album.
