Decided to make another addition of Paul's thread more in line with my current listening habits.
I'll kick it off with the definitive and undisputed list:

    1. Scarface
    2. Lil Wayne
    3/4. Big Boi / Andre 3000
    5. Somebody from Three 6 Mafia
    6/7/8. Bun B / Z Ro / Lil Keke
    9/10. Boosie / T.I.

Chamillionaire is up there for me for sure. Oh and Ludacris and Childish Gambino. These are just outside of the ones you mentioned, some of which I agree with. :emoji_sunglasses:

I remember hating triple 6 mafia because of their beef with btnh xD their early stuff is cool though. I'd probably give the top 2 spots to Outkast, I've listened to them more than anyone else, then Scarface, then Wayne.

Chamillionaire had a strong run, and I've listened to some Trae Tha Truth and 8Ball & MJG, but not that much. First time seeing Lil Keke, I'd probably kick him out of your list for p---- C and maybe fit TI somewhere in there? I haven't listened to that much southern rap :emoji_slight_frown:

I just personally like Bun's solo albums better. More substance than p---- C. They make a great duo because they have such different styles.

@CharlieWork i mean, bun is by no means a bad pick, and the ugk album where he's at his best is also the duo's best album. just curious, because on the duo records he's one of the best rappers ever from any region.

eh, i don't know. how is bun more substantive? p---- had just as much heartbreak/paranoia, he was just better at merging it with the raucous side.

I wouldn't argue with p---- in the top 10. I like Z Ro and Keke more. UGK would be higher on my group list.

Ok maybe I used the wrong words because they both rap about pretty much the same topics except p---- raps about sex and b------s more and Bun is more gangsta. And I prefer old school southern gangsta rap over p---- s---. But don't get me wrong I love p---- C as well I have physical copies of all his CD's.

Bun, p----, scarface, and andre are dead giveaways tho n should be in everybody's top 10 southern rappers list.

Who was that dude that mentioned Cole in the top ny rappers :laff:. He could make a slightly better case for him here

At the same time, is his style of music truly southern?
Dude was a Canibus fan on a Canibus forum growing up. He's part of the internet age.
