Anyone gonna see this? I'm a big fan of da ali g show so I'm gonna give it a chance although I'm not too confident about it, actually leaving to go see it in just a bit here. I'll post what I think after, here's the info and a trailer for now. Doesn't really look that great imo, but we'll see. He's mostly at least good for some LOLs.

Dimwitted Nobby (Sacha Baron Cohen) lives in an English fishing town with his loving girlfriend (Rebel Wilson) and nine children. For the last 28 years, he's been searching for his long-lost brother Sebastian (Mark Strong). When the two finally reunite, Nobby finds out that his sibling is a top MI6 agent who's just uncovered a sinister plot. Wrongfully accused and on the run, Sebastian now realizes that he needs Nobby's help to save the world and prove his innocence.

Did not expect this to be an action flick. Kind of disappointed it's not SBC being a giant soccer chav mockumentary style. I'll definitely still watch it anyway.

Just got back, it was pretty stupid honestly. There were some funny parts but not a ton and not worth it overall. There's a few really disgusting scenes too.

Just had to look it up to see who she was, but you're right she wasn't funny. I thought Sacha had most of the parts I actually found funny, although there weren't a ton.

Thanks for aligning your opinions with mine and understanding that Rebel Wilson isn't funny and is actually a walking health risk. I hope she gets fit and healthy, but I also hope her health gets worse, she becomes fatter and dies from stroke/blod clot/fatness.

anyways, kinda disappointed now I've just found out this is an action movie of sorts. I was hoping it'd be in the same vein as bruno/ali g/borat

It was fairly decent. SBC hasn't been hitting his stride for a while. Some very funny parts, a lot of cringey parts.

Agreed with all the Rebel Wilson hate in here.

I still haven't watched it. It looks different from his mockumentaries like The Dictator was but I'm not looking forward to this one so much. Hoping I like it though, SBC is a legend.

Small spoilers below but pretty much about the nastiest parts of the movie.

The elephant scene and the 'sucking balls' scene or whatever it's called were both way too much and went on far too long...But then again a few people in the audience were laughing at that part more than any other, I guess it's that's sort of the goal to gross people out and get those reactions. But I dunno I thought those 2 scenes especially were very stupid and disgusting, certainly not something I'd ever want to watch.
