    Gonna limit this discussion to rap only for the most part (even though there's a ton of amazing albums released in other genres) but holy s---. Regardless of what you think about some of these albums, this might be one of the most star studded years in recent memory.

    The Kendrick vs. Drake beef solidifies this year alone. That’s one of the biggest rap beefs if not the biggest rap beef ever. All the albums are the cherries on top

    I don't check new s--- out as much as I used to, but there was only a handful of albums I really liked this year.

    So aside from the Kendrick x Drake beef there wasn't much going on for me. Especially, when you compare it to a year like 2015 where countless classics got dropped. Ab- Soul has my AOTY.

    Lupe and Rapsody had great albums. 2024 has been pretty nuts. f---ing LL Cool J put out a good album this year. Hope that Nas/Preem project makes it out soon. That'll make the year for me.

    Nah. Even 2018 was better than this one. This year was Kendrick vs Drake beef and not more than that.

    your list has very good artists, legends of hip hop but the albums they released are not their best work
