    i still never skip this record when it comes on..man..special moment this one

    i generally find myself listening to the obie version with his hook that was probably never planned to be there but still fits so snug

    It’s honestly a perfect example of an artist simultaneously at their best and their worst.

    This was the lowest point of Eminem’s life, and it has produced one of the most raw, emotional, and vulnerable songs of his entire career

    There is a reason he didn’t release this and that’s because it’s trash. That verse sounds like it was written by a middle schooler.

    Who's the poster who originally said this like 7 years ago? Ever since then, people have been parroting it whenever the song gets brought up..without fail. But nice to see a few people thinking outside the box for a change (though I'm not sure if Lasik was being sarcastic or not). Meh/10 song for me. I know they were buds but it's hard for me to mentally separate this from the toxic Christian idea of universal brotherhood.

    It sounds r-----ed and unnatural. Literally nobody who’s mourning goes “cask-ow” or has trouble getting out the word “casket”

    I think the cask-ow line was more likely a punch-in error that wasn’t fixed because the song was never properly mixed than it was him not being able to finish the bar emotionally lol

    your f---ing r-----ed if you think that. he was grieving after his best friends death. He spent so much time writing those verses he couldn't even write a chorus to that s--- that was "perfect enough for proof". You don't know music with that opinion.
