It's a fantastic book. I was actually thinking of doing one of his other ones, They Can't k--- Us Until They k--- Us next if this is successful enough.

Is this only hip hop related here?

If not, then the books from Cody Mcfaiden are fire.

I just started Dune for the first time the other day because the movie trailer has me really interested to see it, so I wanna read the book prior to it coming out. So far so good.

Steven King: The Dark Tower series is my favourite books of all time. Apart from the disastrous ending...

    There Goes Gravity:

From a legendary music journalist with four decades of unprecedented access, an insider's behind-the-scenes look at the major personalities of rock and roll.

Lisa Robinson has interviewed the biggest names in music--including Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, John Lennon, Patti Smith, U2, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Jay Z and Kanye West. She visited the teenage Michael Jackson many times at his Encino home. She spent hours talking to John Lennon at his Dakota apartment--and in recording studios just weeks before his murder. She introduced David Bowie to Lou Reed at a private dinner in a Manhattan restaurant, helped the Clash and Elvis Costello get their record deals, was with the Rolling Stones on their jet during a frightening storm, and was mid-flight with Led Zeppelin when their tour manager pulled out a gun. A pioneering female journalist in an exclusive boys' club, Lisa Robinson is a preeminent authority on the personalities and influences that have shaped the music world; she has been recognized as rock jounralism's ultimate insider.

A keenly observed and lovingly recounted look back on years spent with countless musicians backstage, after hours and on the road, There Goes Gravity documents a lifetime of riveting stories, told together here for the first time.

Been reading a lot of biography/memoir type books. Read Kevin Garnett's "KG A to Z" which I loved. My favorite athlete ever, words spoken like he would speak them. I'm currently waiting on Seth Rogen's book "Yearbook" right now. Heard it's very funny.

Haven't read as many books as I'd like but one I did read and finish was long road out of h--- by Marilyn Manson. Bat s--- crazy book, very few if any artist are actually the person they portray in front of the camera and he's all that and more great read and a book as brutally honest as this one and how it's written wouldn't fly today.

Yeah he talks about raping women and sexually assaulting women and men in his book like hes talking about his favorite color lol. It's funny in the rock scene it was common knowledge he did all that stuff he's been open about it. He literally made an album about killing Rachel Evan woods but no one batted an eye at any of it until now.

Maybe people just thought he was being edgy bullshiting people to make his character seem more legit but once an army of women and men came forward everyone was like ".....oh....oh....f---....."

I started to read Stephen King's Apocalypse. Huge book.
I've read a lot of SK throughout my life and Post-Apocalyptic world is my favorite sub-genre within Sci-Fi.

if you're into that, I could recommend y'all read "The Day of The Triffids".
One of the very first books I read and I love it to this day. So much so I'm thinking of reading it again.

Kinda an old thread ik, but I'm currently 2/3 into V for Vendetta. While I don't enjoy it as some of Alan Moore's other work (Watchmen, Killing Joke, etc.) I still think that it's great in it's own right.
