Dec 21, 2017 Em can rap. He just uses s--- producers and s--- beats with expired concepts that were already mediocre 7 years ago. Songs like Believe and Offended just show that the ability is there. It's just the direction that he takes it with is not just used, but is executed poorly. You can take a good concept and execute it poorly and it'll be bad but appreciated, you can have a used concept with good execution and it'll be okay at least. But Revival is a try hard in a bad direction. Yelawolf has been making better music since love story. I'm finding it hard to find a post hiatus Em single better than till it's gone. But that's because Yelawolf knows what he wants to do conceptually, and though he's criticized for being corny country rock, he makes much better production choices and seems to have more artistic drive. Em needs to take a page out of how Yelawolf turned his career around and do the same. Stop with the grandiose arena rap rick rubin beats and (alex da kidd produced) pop features. Revival has made people appreciate Beserk and Relapse for f--- sake. Scrap the sellout Eminem (that isn't selling anymore) and go back to being creative. Even if nobody bar your core fanbase will appreciate it.

Em's flow was on point, he sounded good, and he was truly self aware for once. I've been saying this since day 1 and I still believe Walk on Water is 10/10 Except that, I mostly agree
