I know, Beats are overrated and not worth the $200 price tag, but I found a deal where they are being sold for $90. I've been needing a new pair of headphones for awhile now, so, should I cop?

If they're real they are worth more than $90 so take them.
The solo HD's are about equal to a $40-$150 pair of big-name headphones today. The way I see it is you could probably get a stock standard pair of Sennheiser's for about $40, but honestly they will look like clunky bs compared to beats design. Also, don't be surprised if the $40 headphones don't come with that other crap (noise cancellation/built in mic/durability)
(also a lot of people don't realize, but Beats are incredibly f---ing durable. If they aren't, well, you got a fake pair.)

I literally throw my Beats around, they are old as f--- now, never had a pair of headphones/earphones last as long as them.

I don't understand how anyone can spend more than $20.00 on headphones

    You mean don't understand right?

Assuming you do, it's because, generally speaking, you get better headphones with better sound quality/stage/response/etc. as well as having them look better and be more durable/be made of better materials.
Of course there is a rule of diminishing return, and after you hit about $200-300 any higher tiers cost WAAAAAAAAAAAY more for very little improvement (in terms of sound anyways. You can get a pair of headphones with 3D machined Gold for around 10K)

    Yea, that's what I meant

I spent 20 bucks on a pair of Sony Headphones and I've had them for almost 10 years.. and they still hold up well

I decided not to. I read multiple reviews that said they are mediocre to the point that they aren't even worth $90. You can delete the thread @Help
