Royce da 59 is top 5 dead or alive

    Royce da 5'9" many people think of his as the dude on Bad Meets Evil on SSLP, or the dude that did an EP with Eminem. However Royce is one of the most consistent rappers to ever do it. With a classic album Death is Certain and many other amazing projects including his work in Bad Meets Evil and Slaughterhouse he is easily one of the most versatile rappers.
    Now I’m claiming Royce is a GOAT rapper. Here are my facts to back it up.

    1. He can do an entire album with Eminem (h--- the Sequel) stand his ground, and even renegade the creator of the renegade.

    2. His best album Death is Certain, even though highly underrated it is amazing, from the stories, lyrics, to the Preemo and Royce collab on the song “Hip Hop” its an amazing album.

    3. He is amazingly versatile, he can rap in a braggadocios fashion but can also become a storyteller and tell about his problems with being an alcoholic, his fall out with Eminem, etc.

    4.His ability to simply just rip tracks apart and destroy beats. Top notch lyricism and IMO one of two people that can flow perfectly on a Preemo beat the other being the late Guru. Also his work on PRhyme is proof to back up this statement

    Give it up for the king of Detroit.

    I wouldn't go so far... Royce is really great emcee, but he's not in top 5.
    I don't even hate, cause I love Royce's music and I f--- with this almost on daily basis, but he ain't Rakim, he ain't Biggie, he ain't Pac etc.

    Royce's output has been sooo inconsistent. I'd struggle placing him in my top 50. He certainly has the potential to be up there- but he hasn't backed it up well enough on his releases.
    And that name is Pac.

    Hmm, I get the argument that Royce is underrated and deserves a lot more accolades than he gets but no way is he top 5.
    Maybe top 20 or 30 of current people putting out work but that's as far as I'd go.
