This is the most active and most interesting sxn at this point of time. Yeah I play Pokemon go and I'm in Team Valor (sorry that's just irrelevant)

Coming back to the point, can anyone please tell me what's up with the lucky egg? What does it actually do? And is there any tip on how to catch Pokemons easily? I found a 106 CP Onix yesterday but it won't come in my pokeball. I kinda wasted like 14 pokeball for him but if just won't come in. On the other side, I caught a flameon with my second pokeball. It was of maybe 250+ CP.

Also sometimes my game just freezes off! As I catch a Pokemon, the pokeball just stays there and doesn't move or anything while I the background still moves. Anyone knows what is this? And how to fix this? Thanks for reading it all.

Lucky Eggs works for 30 mins and gives you double experience points for catching/evolving/everything basically. Use it alongside an incense or near a lure module to level up faster.

For easier catching just try to time and aim your throws so it hits the Pokemon dead in the middle of the coloured circle. If it's a high CP Pokemon give it a Razz Berry or use a stronger ball like Great Ball/Ultra Ball.

The freezing problem still hasn't been addressed by Niantic but basically if the ball freezes you'll have to exit the game and go back into it. If you're lucky the Pokemon you tried to catch will be in your Pokemon list. If not then you lost your chance at it as well as wasting a Pokeball.
