Jul 26, 2026 at 7:58 PM I heard Backrooms is actually good. Apparently it owes a lot of inspiration to Charlie Kaufman, whose films I haven't seen but would have to watch first if true. These kinds of movies are supposed to be sophisticated works of propaganda, but even so I'd gladly join the chorus of "AI will not replace us [humans]" over "Joos will not replace us" any day:

Jul 27, 2026 at 6:24 AM Yup. Same for Inde Navarrette. She was livestreaming and doing other random jobs before this. The movie made some stars. I think creativity will always win no matter what limitations there may seem to be. I see Obsession’s success as a symbolic passing of the torch. The new generation is here and the old generation is dying off. We are going to keep seeing that more and more, it’s inevitable. I’m here for it, it’s time for some new s---. Nah but that one is definitely on my list. Maybe this October I should just do a big marathon of horror movies on my list. In past Octobers I mostly focused on a single franchise (Halloween, Scream, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, etc.) but maybe this time I’ll have more variety instead of focusing on a single franchise.
