This is the biggest year for movies since 2019. 2019 was the biggest year in cinema history thanks to Avengers Endgame, Lion King, Toy Story 4, One upon a time in Hollywood, Frozen 2, Midsommar, and Spiderman Far From Home. this year is now on track to replicate that success due to marvel’s flagship ip Spiderman & Avengers Doomsday already projected to be the biggest movies of thier studios, Micheal breakout Biopic, and new Gen Z smashes Obsession and Backrooms making history.

@Marsh scary movie 6 is over performing as is supergirl pre-sales, disclosure day and Odyssey are also selling out fast and on track to be 2 of the biggest blockbusters this summer. Toy Story 5 on track to be the biggest movies, even bigger than Spiderman. Crazy year for the box office as Gen Z are taking over Hollywood with YouTube filmakers beating major Hollywood ips like Star Wars. Devil wears Prada 2 shows women are also going to the movies more as it’s made 3x more then new Star Wars movie has and will end the year as one of the biggest.

Back from the theater. It’s funny, and pretty much just nonstop jokes about recent horror tropes, pop culture, and cancel culture. That said definitely has a lot of cringe. It knows its audience. Which is why I see why it’s number 1 this week at the box office. It’s for millennials that wanna laugh

This might be the best year for movies since pre-Covid. Indie movies are doing well, blockbuster are doing well, and as much as people complain about nostalgia….. the biggest movies are still sequels and nostalgia bait. :emoji_laughing:This why I can’t take the internet serious when they say Spiderman and Avengers is gonna flop. lol
Nostalgia is selling better than it’s ever. Mario, Micheal and Devil wears Prada are the biggest movies of the year. Horror is having its best year ever with obsession and Backrooms.

Project Hail Mary still my movie of the year so far tho. It actually looks like a film. Should get some award nominations for set design or visual effects. A shame that trash Mario slop is almost at a billion @Marsh
But every other movie in the top 5 I agree belongs there. Proof that cinema is alive
