May 31, 2026 at 3:55 AM @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau I completely rearranged and added and removed a ton of songs in the last hour, originally was going to be a concept following a day in the summer with bunches of tracks being correlated with a specific time of day. I still really like that idea but I scrapped it to have an overall better flow and prioritized more electronic pop music, lot of songs I'm sad I cut but they leaned further into rock which clashed with the rest of the sound so the tape is a lot better for it imo. It was meant to get darker and more melancholic as it went on for the original concept, it still very loosely follows that with the last few songs which is basically the only carry over. Figured it'd be fun to have a title track for the tape that best describes it. I have a feeling this will be slightly divisive as it leans heavily into only a couple sounds so it might bounce off people all together but I had a great time making this! May 31, 2026 at 12:33 PM Pack Up The Cats - Local H REVIEW Score: 7.5 Review: This album was pretty good! I had never heard of this band before, so I was very curious going in. I did see some talk about Nirvana influence, and I for sure see that now after listening to the album, especially on the track Fine And Good. Anyways, I thought this was a pretty strong album! All the tracks (besides one, we will get to that) hit hard and honestly I knew the sound I would get from this just looking at the album art. However, The shorter tracks that were clocked in at under 2 minutes did not really do much for me, besides the instrumental Stoney. I get they are meant to be more transitional tracks (which is something this album did amazingly, WOW), but they still did not really have that push for me. I would also call Laminate Man a miss for me. Not sure, maybe I just need more time with it, but it did not click for me like the other tracks on this album did. When this album was having its highs though, man were they high. "Cha!", Hit The Skids, All The Kids Are Right, Deep Cut, all great tracks. Anyways, thanks @Wreckless for the pick! May 31, 2026 at 12:46 PM Don't have time for a full review by tonight so going to be quick: This isn't something I listen to a lot but it's a solid rock album. Love the singer's voice and especially the more upbeat tracks (like Al Right, Hit The Skids). Also enjoyed Laminate Man & All The Kids Are Alright. Giving this a 7/10 thanks for the pick! @AOTWClub
