Back in the day when he toured new albums, like when he toured TES; the setlist was majority TES - with a few classics.

Now it's the opposite. Basically all his setlist is the same classic hits... medleys of the silly singles... the big inspirational tracks etc. and then a couple of new ones sprinkled in, like a fast part from one of his new showcase rappity verses and another single. That's not touring an album.

That's ridiculous. And actually kind of false advertising too.

3 fkn songs from the new album. So the whole thing is just like a giant greatest hits tour every time.

Also such a fkn waste of era and themes. He used to do epic live set pieces, like MMLP era with the chainsaw and mask and his house on stage... and TES, proper set designs; now he just comes out in a hoody or a kangol and does those same fkn songs a billion times with a couple from the new project.

Like, imagine a proper - actual 'Kamikaze' tour, with the plane crashing sound opening, he comeso ut... everybody goes fkn nuts for The Ringer... perfect opener; him in a kamikaze jumpsuit, full set design with crashed plane n s---... s--- would be epic. Fkn wasting entire good eras and imagery.

When you say “Kissed a girl” it’s awkward as you’re a grown man and that’s how a 11 year old would speak about their experience with women, so it shows your lack of experience with them. Also the fact your rebuttal is jokes that I’m a virgin or gay is also very telling and immature.

taylor has dropped 10 albums in the last 5 years, she's on tv. ads and tour all the time and she milks everything she can to get the reaction. Even at NFL everytime there was a timeout or whatever the camera went straight to her. Eminem is basically a ghost in the last 10+ years, his last solid era in terms of promo and marketing was MMLP2. Don't compare them lol

Promo doesn't work unless the album is good, or lands in some way anyway. And if the album does, usually doesn't need it.

Just like people would conlfate sinlges with album sales yet plenty of examples where that's not the case - i.e. B.o.B, had 2 global no.1 singles on his debut, and buzz, and yet the s--- sold 84k first week lol.

Then you have... Revival - featuring Ed Sheeran, Beyonce; lots of promo, huge fkn city wide billboards n s---... his worst selling, flop (for him).

Kamikaze, next album - zero promo, drop out of nowhere - double the sales.

The music sells the music. It needs to be good and/or connect. Taylor is selling a cuntload because her s--- is landing still, on a big scale. If it was s---, none of this promo would matter imo.

And Em's recent stuff ain't s--- - Kami, 'Murder... some pretty great stuff. But, it's not landing how it was, it's confined to a particular substrate of his fans. Not that I want him to start ttrying to fkn appease people or pop-rap fans again but I just mean... whatever, his content and his styles are not hitting right now, in a major way.
