    I think he tried to distance himself from the social justice warrior image with the whole noname thing. Basically just said he a regular dude, follow her she knows what she’s talking about.

    This album is who coles always been. Just a great rapper. I’m happy he decided to take himself less seriously and just get back to competing on the mic.

    The Climb Back is so good. From the wordplay, flows, vivid imagery and homage to boom bap 90s NY hip hop. 10/10.

    Which songs could be a radio single? Not hit but I mean get some plays, I’m thinking 100 mil or pride is the devil. Only ones with real melody.

    Pride is the devil is one of the best songs Cole has ever made. Vibe on the track is crazy. Let go my hand also is f---ing flames, lyrics on that are too real. I’m not in a mood to write a long review, but I enjoyed this s---. It isn’t a classic, but is isn’t a snooze fest either. It actually has real diversity unlike his last 2 albums. Will be in my rotation for sure.

    I'm so glad he didn't restrict this to a concept. It's just good to have a Cole album where it's mixtape Cole. Because his tapes were never with a concept, just a collection of dope songs & dope bar heavy freestyles/verses. This album reminds me of the freedom/fun he had before releasing his first album to the masses.

    Pride Is The Devil is Cole checking his ego. Because man, if we’re being honest, the whole no features thing was an ego thing.

    If you’ve been on this forum for a while, we’ve posted or seen artists mentioning how they were in the studio with Cole or producers sending him beats and we never got anything out of it. So for him to finally stop trying to do everything on his own and branch out was refreshing.

    That song reflects his career up to this point.

    Great point. I think that’s why he sounds so free and at peace. The way he talks about being scared on several tracks is so profound, especially from a superstar rapper.

    My most played song last year, Its kinda disappointing its the longest song on the album but album still great

    I disagree with people saying its his best though. I think I got it tied #3 with 4YEO rn
