Nov 16, 2015 The guy covering these songs is a French Arab dude. Basically it just made me think again how predominantly whites and foreign people like Arabs, Indians, Chinese, Latinos like Eminem's music. But not urban black people for the most part When u see these songs covered by Eminem fans it is always teenage girls or white dudes or foreigners. It is never a black person from the hood or a street backround Why is it emotional deep Eminem songs appeal to the pop crowd and general public so much but not to urban black hip hop heads? where as emotional deep 2pac songs appeal so much to urban blacks but not to the pop crowd Eminem's songs do I'm not buying the race issue that the reason is because Em is white nor do i think the reason is based on the fact Em's emotional deep songs are super popular because Drakes emotional songs are popular too and he has more of an urban fan base than Em
Nov 16, 2015 Let's keep this debate mature and no cliche predictable answers like 'those people covering these songs are stans'
Nov 16, 2015 He's a fan covering songs he loves from an artist he admires and music that has touched him Nothing corny about that. It is normal and respectable
Nov 16, 2015 Which is fine but it is irrelevant to the thread Thread is based on Em being a Pop icon rather than a Hip Hop icon Where as Jay Z, Nas, Biggie, 2pac, T.I., Wu Tang, KRS-ONE, Rakim, Andre 3000 are Hip Hop icons
Nov 16, 2015 No. This thread is about 'why urban black hip hop heads don't cover Eminem songs' I don't know what you were thinking when making this thread but the discussion here is going to have nothing to do with Eminem. Instead the discussion is going to be about black people then its just going to go downhill from there. TDLR - Bait thread Ban OP Lock thread Give Jehovah MVP award
