Nov 23, 2020 http://letshaveatoast.com/ To one of the greatest albums of all time. Thanks Kanye. @KanyeSXN
Nov 23, 2020 It’s hard to believe this was 10 years ago man. Sophomore year of college goin thru my first real long term relationship...we’d been dating for over a year and things were getting super rocky but this album (and Big Boi’s from earlier in the year) got me through the winter and spring til we finally broke up in the summer lol
Nov 23, 2020 Nobody has topped this album since though. WTT and Yeezus are also classics, and TLOP/KSG are great
Nov 23, 2020 This album properly introduced me to kanye. Before that I only knew his mainstream songs like Stronger and Gold Digger. Man when that first 'Can We Get Much Higher? So Hiiigh' on Dark Fantasy came up, I ascended. His best album in my opinion (even though 808s and Heartbreaks is a very close 2nd)
Nov 23, 2020 Same. I've seen people on this forum hate on the hook/beat switch (prior to this thread) as well but I've always loved it. Great intro to the album.
Nov 23, 2020 One of those extremely rare albums where the whole thing is absolutely perfect, back-to-front. And I dont just mean the quality of each song, I mean the entire experience, its so immersive it feels like you're in a movie. Or some kind of VR. Even the weakest moments are absolutely f---ing spectacular. I remember during that insane Good Fridays hype era when So Appalled dropped (back to back with Christian Dior Denim flow, iirc), it was like nothing I'd ever heard before, it was so rich and futuristic and felt like it had been so meticulously crafted. 10 years later and I still get that feeling listening to this. masterpiece, classic in every sense of the word.
Nov 23, 2020 To me this album is the best hip hop album of all time. It represent so much for the genre.
Nov 23, 2020 we need an emoji to use for when someone hops into a non-eminem thread and mentions eminem
