@831's Finest I doubt they'll make him OP. In Armageddon when they had Onaga, Blaze, Goro, Kintaro, etc as playable characters, they were easy to take down when someone picked them online. Depends on how skillful the player is with the character though.

I am definitely getting a PS4 before this game comes out.
Love the new feature with every character having 3 different fighting styles. Also I have been very pleasantly pleased with the new characters that they have added.

In regards to returning characters, I am sure they are going to explain it somehow, especially with the fact that the game takes place up to 25 years after MK9.

I did some digging and it looks like Kenshi's son, Takeda, is gonna be a new character that will probably be playable. In the recent comics bridging the gap between MK9 and MKX, it shows Kenshi taking Takeda to Scorpion for training and in the first three issues it's just following his story.

ALSO, in the third issue of the comic, Raiden has a vision that highlights some of the events of the story. In the vision we can see some of the characters that will be included in the story, which may also lead to them being playable.

The characters in each panel are as follows: (Unannounced characters in bold)
1. Scorpion and Takeda;
2. Cassie Cage and Frost;
3. Kotal Kahn, Ferra/Torr’s shadow, and what looks like Reptile or maybe Smoke?
4. Mileena and Reiko
5. Sub-Zero
6. Kano
7. Jax and maybe his daughter or his wife?
8. Raiden with Fujin in the back.

Goooood, Gooood. The GC/PS2/Xbox era characters were horrible. Havik was pretty cool but otherwise meh. Kenshi has a big following, I never really liked him much.

A handful of MK4 era characters are bound to return. Havik is on my wishlist, but he probably won't appear. I'm thinking they will bring back Shinnok, Reiko, Frost, and Fujin (and probably a few more that I'm forgetting atm). I'm excited for all of them except Frost. We already have Sub Zero so I feel having Frost will be sort of pointless unless they manage to really re-invent her and make her more unique.

As far as Kenshi goes, Ed Boon (MK's co-creator) posted this on twitter - by the stance I'm guessing it's either Kenshi or Takeda. I doubt they will both be in the game since their move sets and abilities are about the same so I'm leaning towards it being Takeda.

^ Yep, this ones 25 years later than the original timeline. So we're getting their offspring.

f--- Frost, give me Reptile already. No one really has inspired me enough to want to main them. I'm a huge MK fan but there hasn't been a reveal/trailer that has made me go Oh s--- I'm going to main that player. Quan's looked cool with the portal's, that might have to be what I main. But so far not really feeling anything.

Of course all this can change once I get my hands on the game. I usually always main Ninja's but MK9 had a big switch up. Mained Shang Tsung, Kabal, Reptile, Jade, Rain. Different than my usual Sub-Zero etc.

Won't be surprised seeing one from Liu Kang & Kitana.
Frost has that awesome special move when she freezes the ground and it travels across, only way to avoid is to jump. Sub-Zero needs a special like that, but if they're putting Frost in the game she should keep it. Sub-Zero's needs an upgrade from MK9, it only freezes the ground, but doesn't travel across. Btw Havik was meant to be an alternate costume for Scorpion in MK Deception, but didn't suit Scorpion so they decided to turn it into a character in the game.

It was the only way to stop people from jumping over the ice ball when full screen. I remember when MK9 first came out people said Sub-Zero was too slow and weak. I tried maining him and got good with him. Then there was a HUGE influx of people using him. They'd just clone on anything then do the same 6-9 hit combo rinse and repeat. If you stood far away they'd just zone ice ball after ice ball. So to stop them from jumping all the time you'd meter burn the ground freeze to catch them in place dash forward and use their face as a punching bag.

I never used Sub-Zero much to figure that out, I would pick Scorpion more. Idk why they made him slow in MK9 though, I hope he's quick in MK X. Ed Boon often posts hints & updates on his Twitter btw.
