Jul 8, 2017 I get homesick but the other way around lol So far - listening to the songs that were played a lot makes me go back a little - lookin at pictures - booking a new vacation to look forward to What else?
Jul 8, 2017 Post Vacation Blues are the absolute worst, it's just a fact sometimes when you have such a great experience and then have to return to your mudane normal routine. I think looking forward to my next vacation worked best for me.
Jul 8, 2017 Word its f---ing terrible. Luckily I have 2 more vacations this year to look forward to but still I think living there is gonna be so different. I will return to Florida for sure though
Jul 8, 2017 Cuz it made me realize how boring my job was on a day to day basis. My last day is Thursday lol
Jul 8, 2017 I like my job but right now everything I do f---ing sucks except listening to spanish music, drink malibu and enjoy life. Oh and booking a new vacation helped Are u looking for a new job right away or takin time off?
Jul 8, 2017 Going freelance, already have a bunch of gigs lined up (started some last week) so I'll be jumping right in, though I'm going camping next weekend right after my last day.
Jul 8, 2017 Its worse when you work for years straight without taking a serious vacay. Last Christmas I went back to see my family in Mexico after 5 years and boy I had a blast. Those first couple days back are rough, only thing I can suggest is plan another one--don't let life pass you buy as you go about your daily routine
Jul 8, 2017 Yeah did that! And after work I keep having fun and in weekends as well which makes it more bearable. After a week or 2 it will get better tho
Jul 8, 2017 Whenever I go away for Vacation I make sure I have at least 1-2 days to decompress home when I get back. I can't go straight back to work. It's funny you go on vacation for a break from work an then when you get back after relaxing you hate it even more for a few more days until you get back in the grind
Jul 8, 2017 I also waited a few days and after that only went to work for half a day lol (friday) and now weekend again
Jul 8, 2017 I always like to have another vacation planned. Even if it's 6+ months away, you need a break and something to look forward to. That's why most companies (in the US) give 2-4 weeks PTO a year, so you can at least take 2 fun vacations a year if all goes well. They want you to. One of my coworkers at my old job went 11 years in between taking vacations. And both of those "vacations" were a 15 drive to visit family in Texas. He's 50+ years old and hasn't done anything fun ever. If I had that life I'd've offed myself long before that
Jul 8, 2017 Awesome! I'm going to Charleston, SC next month and probably Disneyland also this year, we were given free passes to the parks. And I'm hoping to plan a trip to Ireland next year, to run the half marathon there and then spend a week in Dublin
Jul 8, 2017 Sounds pretty good as well! I try to keep on running too but running next to the beach in Miami 6 days a week is a lot nicer than doing it here lmao Dublin seems good, planning to go there somewhere as wel
Jul 8, 2017 Look forward to your next one even more. A vacation is meant to be a reward for your effort, at least imo The mundanity of your work life is what leads up to you getting to have a good time, so use that as a motivator whenever you feel down.
