Jan 21, 2015 i'm not really sure where to take this beat. suggestions welcome @M.I.C. @Jet @Narsh @KvB @YaBoyTr @Koolo @Genius @Pixel @Nay Nay @King Kailez @CharlieWork @Winter @RobA7 @Bleed @MPURA @WPG @Grimace
Jan 21, 2015 Some of my favorite beats like this have layered, ethereal vocals. Gives it an 80s flair. Maybe try that? Apart from that maybe rifle through some DJ Screw / OG Ron C / Houston material for inspiration.
Jan 21, 2015 Just my opinion, but i could hear that melody sounding great on a guitar, maybe try adding the chords to an electric guitar power-chord sample and make the drum beats a bit heavier, Unfortunately this would destroy the chill 90's/80's vibe you got here, but that's just what i see in it....
Jan 22, 2015 I like where the production is going.. like @CharlieWork said give it an 80s flair, or look to these tracks for inspiration.
Jan 22, 2015 i'm not much of a producer so i don't really know where you should take it, really feeling it so far though
Jan 22, 2015 The pac ''f--- all yall'' vocal sample sounds likes slightly offbeat because of the swing you used on the snare. I really love music like this, im working on a whole lot of it myself. keep up the good work man!
Jan 22, 2015 After the vocals - I was expecting some kind of drop, hard kicks or a synth, something to differentiate the chorus from the verses The kick isn't in timing with the melody, the drum pattern needs work Needs more umph to it, but keep working on it.
Jan 22, 2015 He added a swing to the drum line,so its supposed to sound that way, its something most producers do, listen to j dillas beats & you'll hear the same thing.
Jan 22, 2015 I love dilla beats and I didn't like it Pattern sounds amateurish and there's 1 main kick out of place that's pissing me off.
Jan 24, 2015 Usually I like a simple piano melody with dark beats like this, makes it sound kinda eerie. Just a few keyboards here and there, nothing too heavy.
