Aug 17, 2015 I've seen much people saying that if Encore was released without the 6 worst tracks it had (Puke, My first Single, Rain Man, Big Weenie, Just Lose it, a--- like that) and with these tracks replace by the "deluxe edition" songs it would have been his 4th classic. I disagree. Because it would mean that the others tracks had the caliber to be something near to his three first albums. I'll explain you, track by track, why it's completely wrong in my opinion: (if anyone disagree, i would be curious to know why). Evil Deed : The first verse is one of the worst he ever dropped. Why? He's repeating each sentences at least five time! This is HORRIBLY ANNOYING ("Mommy had a baby and his head popped off/head popped off/head popped off/head popped off/head popped off/head popped off ) and lines even stop rhyming at 0:44 . And it's even worst when we know that it's the first verse of the album, this is how this "classic" open... Never Enough : The most random track OF ALL TIME. Random beat (it's like Dre had no inspiration for this one), random Nate Dogg hook (when we know that their precedent collaboration was "till i collapse"...), random Eminem verse, random 50's verse (their precedent collaboration was "Patiently Waiting"). I'm not saying that this is bad, there is some good lines on it. But it's the less surprising song he ever did. Yellow Brick Road : Even though this is one of my favorite from this LP, there is still few problems with this one, particularly the second verse (the way he sang it was pretty bad), and was it really necessary to put a burp noise at the beggining? Like Toy Soldier : One of the two only songs i can't really criticize on Encore (but still, the hook sampled in SFTM>>>>This one) Mosh : It White America 2.0, but with a less good beat and a less good flow (Plus the fact that Bush won the elections makes the song less credible...). Spend some time : Pretty good Eminem verse, decent hook, decent Obie's verse, but the 50/Stat Quo part is pretty bad, especially the 50's verse that doesn't rhyme ATT ALL at its beginning... Once again it's not a bad song but it's far from having the caliber to figure on a "classic" album... Crazy in Love : The hook sampled doesn't sound cohesive with the rest of the album at all. And the flow is a bit repetitive... (But overall i consider it to be a great track, top 3 with Mockingbird and LTS) Mockingbird : I love this track so i won't say anything bad about it, the only "classic" track on the album. If all the songs were all as good as this one then yea, it would have been a f*cking classic (but still, Hailie's song > it ) One Shot two Shot : Feels like a D12 World's track Encore : Apparently it's a very underrated song so it must have been something i didn't get. They're not saying much interesting things in this, the verses are not that good. (And lol at the 50 Cent apparition, i don't even know if we can call it a "featuring" ) By the way, Encore's skits are the less good he has ever done. "Em calls Paul" is
Aug 17, 2015 It may not be classed as classic but it certainly wouldn't have put him in the category he is now. Let's face it, no one would be surprised/pissed off if he released a below [his] par FOURTH album but fans would be surprised/pissed of if they got something the calibre of Encore, which is exactly what happened.
Aug 17, 2015 I don't think anyone ever suggested Encore's highlights were comparable to MMLP/TES. They're just surprisingly good cuts for drugged up Marshall.
Aug 17, 2015 same not sure what he's on about... maybe was i was younger i thought it was annoying i guess idk plus 3rd verse is a top 10 verse imo
Aug 17, 2015 I haven't listened to a single track off this album in at least a year. It baffles me that people still want to talk about it.
Aug 17, 2015 I agree, the "good" songs on Encore, while unlike most of the ablum are listenable, are still s--- songd
Aug 17, 2015 for every blueprint there is magna carta, for every illmatic there is nastradamus, that's just the way it is
Aug 17, 2015 LTS and Love you more are the only songs I enjoy anyway tbh. I think Evil Deeds is over rated

Aug 17, 2015 Never Enough, Encore and Spend Some Time are not overrated (f--- stat's verse tho). if anything they're underrated. great songs as for the rest, if they were erased from existence I wouldn't miss them at all
Aug 17, 2015 Mosh and One Shot Two Shot aren't even regarded as good by most people so how can they be overrated? I agree Mockingbird is sometimes overrated but that's because some people see emotion > quality. As for the rest on your list just no, Encore is better than any album he has released since
