Nov 19, 2016 I don't know why there is such an obsession with a 'political' album. People are misunderstanding the idea that he could be commenting on America (and the world) in general. I think @Koolo is right, those are great songs. And those type of songs clearly give him some focus. Sure there could be political references in there, because the election is the elephant in room right now, but it wouldn't be 17 songs of trump and Clinton. Don't be ridiculous. I'm of the opinion that Marshall's main problem right now is a lack of things to talk about. He's basically a hermit, so I understand he doesn't get out in the world much, but that's leading him to just talk about his past (when he was involved in society tbh).
