    We all here have a love of music - mainly hip-hop of course. However I'd love to know what everybody else digs when it comes to music.

    Personally I love RnB, Psychedelic Rock, Motown, Reggae, Electronic (i.e. trance) and Vietnamese music (probably from the 80s and older).

    So tell me SXN80, what genres of music to you love?

    I can listen to almost everything tbh (except for metal, hardstyle or some types of dutch music). My favourite genres besides hiphop are rock, rnb, dance, reggae. But I like most of the genres you listed in the poll, it depends on when/where and my mood

    I like to listen to a wide variety of music, I don't see why anyone should restrict themselves to any one genre.
    In order of the most music I listen to it'd go something like:
    1. Rap
    2. Metal of various types (Melodic, Heavy, Reggae, etc.)
    3. Electronic (Mainly dubstep but some House too)
    4. Rock of various types
    5. Pop
    6. Jazz

    Rap is my main, but I also listen to:
    - Rock (Depends on my mood but I can go from Slipknot one day to a more calmer, lesss scream heavy sound)
    - Pop (I listen to Radio 1 a lot and some of that s--- is catchy)
    - RnB
    - Dance (Dance Anthems on a Saturday night on Radio 1 :banderas:)

    I also listen to Michael Bublé and the legendary Johnny Cash.

    Hip Hop is my main genre - but after that I love R&B, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Motown, Disco etc. I also listen to a lot of Indie/Alternative rock bands.

    Hip-hop is my favourite genre, but If you want to know how to differentiate a bad song from the good one and vice versa, you need to know at least the most known classics from every genre. It's absolutely necessary, because without it, you will be giving 10's to every song you like at any particular moment.

    Recently, I tried to get into heavy metal and to that end I downloaded the latest Napalm Death's album. My ears started to ringing after I finished listening to it. It was a very intense hour, but I hadn't gone deaf, so I think it was worth it nevertheless. I don't feel this music at all and I can't imagine myself lying in the hammock and playing aphex predator on full blast, but I at least started appreciate the poetry of their lyrics. They don't scream mindlessly and their lyrics aren't meaningless as some people tend to think.

    Country was actually the first music I listened to growing up. Hip-hop, with the help of Eminem, took the crown around middle school. I like anything tho. Even genres like heavy metal and dubstep (I don't like either genre too much) have songs that I enjoy listening to.

    my favorites are hip-hop, rock and pop....but honestly i can tolerate just about any genre........off the top of my head the only type of music i really can't stand is the screaming/can't understand what they're saying heavy metal type of music
