Hey everyone, I was checking out Em's career numbers (especially the sales and the RIAA certifications) and I've just noticed that: the "only" Eminem projects (studio albums, compilation albums, collaboration albums... singles and pre-Aftermath s--- excluded) that hasn't made it Platinum (at least not yet) are Shady XV (2014) which was certified gold by the RIAA in June of 2015 with 290,000 copies sold in the U.S. (about 7 months after its release so I guess by now it must be eligible for Platinum, at least...) Oh and also the fact that it was a double album, therefore not needing 500,000 copies to be certified Gold or 1,000,000 to be Platinum... but only half of it.

Speaking about the summer of 2015, the Southpaw OST seems like it will NEVER be certified even Gold by the RIAA (this time it's not a double album...) The most "recent" numbers we've got for it date back to January 2017, with only 91,000 copies sold in the U.S. between the time of its release in the summer of 2015 and January 2017... Plus I think it's like the only project that doesn't even appear as part of his discography on Spotify (I may be wrong though...) So it's not like people would be streaming the s--- outta that one...

Last one to date of course is Curtain Call 2, it's only been out for over a month I know, but the fact that it only peaked at #6 on Billboard (even the Southpaw OST peaked at #5 g.d. it...) and its first week sales were far from impressive... It's a double album so it'll need 250,000 copies sold in the U.S. to be certified Gold by the RIAA and 500,000 to be Platinum but the way things are... Unlike Shady XV which is without a doubt eligible for Platinum as of this day, I really think it'll take quite a few years before CC2 gets to sell 250,000 copies and to be certified Gold by the RIAA honestly). What's the "importance" of all that? Well I just thought it was truly interesting to take a look at all those numbers (and especially the RIAA certifications for each project)...

well I feel very embarassed right now... I have some kind of medical issues (which have to do with compulsive behavior, but it's extremely related to numbers and the way I rely on them and the counting process). I usually can control it around other people but I definately should've thought twice before posting the other day... Now is the first time I'm reading what I had written and honestly it makes me fckn cringe... I'm sorry guys plz don't ever hesitate to tell me (in a polite way of course) whenever I'm posting stuff like this which shows how much I'm relying on numbers, counting (and mostly how awkward it makes me look...) Really guys I truly apologize for not having read it before posting it. Thank you for being comprehensive.

Edit: After reading my post, I truly felt like I owed you guys at least an explanation.
