Apr 12, 2022 in a way, history is repeating itself. the U.S. and russia are in conflict again, seeing as russia has invaded Ukraine. but we're not in direct conflict. we're not invading russia, but we are taking actions to limit and restrict the things that they do in relation to the U.S, just like the cold war. in my eyes, this is just history all over again. russia never came out of countries like poland, and they made poland a communist country after WWII. now russia is trying to take complete control of Ukraine, in order to "take back the land they lost," which is also how hitler started the second world war, he just kept taking land "that was lost." while russia isn't listed currently as a communist country and looks to be capitalist, there are still communist ideologies, as well as the fact that there is no democracy in russia.
Apr 12, 2022 My cat has a stronger grasp on geopolitics. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
Apr 12, 2022 this is comical. i guess that ukraine wasn't orignally a soviet controlled area of land, and i guess that it wasn't liberated and given democracy after the second world war, and i guess putin isn't doing what hitler did with "taking back land that was lost" even though hitler literally did the same thing with poland. the only difference between the two (i'm just going to call them what they are) dictators is that hitler wanted more land than putin has show to have desire for. putin has already been doing this as well, this isn't really new- he took georgia in 2008, and annexed crimea in 2014. the both of these two dictators have also abused to democracy to come into power. as soon as hitler came into office, he immediately put more and more people into office that would help him on his journey, as well as used his connections from when he served in the first world war. putin has done the same, using his KGB (the russian CIA, for those that don't know) connections from when he served with them.
