Jun 15, 2015 You guys are arguing over something that you can't put a metric on...neither one of you will win this argument. @Skippy @Final
Jun 15, 2015 I can post a side by side song of future and then Travis to show the obv straight biting, whereas with thug I can just post take kare and show that on a song where they're both on its clearly obv who's who and that their styles aren't the exact same
Jun 15, 2015 Thug is clearly inspired by Wayne and never really bites Travis is inspired by future and Cudi and sometimes bites This is my point @Final
Jun 15, 2015 tbh, I never really heard the connection between Thug and Wayne but I never listened to really early Thug when people said it was more obvious. Trav's voice sounds like Future's at times...but I'm not suddenly going to think "Travi$ sounds like Future here, that means he's garbage and he'll never make anything unique. OP and DBR are s--- because he's just a biter" f--- all the bum s---.
Jun 15, 2015 you use the words "influence" and "inspire" instead of "bite" music is influential, it does inspire, without someone starting it, there wouldn't be other people following suit.. they need examples to draw off of however, travis and thug have been "influenced" so much, that they don't even have their own original identities as rappers obviously travis is travis and thug is thug.. but my only point is… why does it have to be taken SO FAR and so extreme? it's like they don't want to have their OWN STORY, they simply want to ride off the success of an already popular artist since fans already like them hopsin was INSPIRED or INFLUENCED by eminem, yea he bites too, but for the most part, he has created his own entity without trying to ride off eminems success.. obviously he has.. but to a much less extent of what thug and travis do because "hopsin" became his own character you can still be a fan, just call it what it is biting
Jun 15, 2015 Omg did u just use hopsin as a. Example of not biting He literally made a career off of copying sslp bs being an edgy lyrical cornball Thugs music isn't that much like waynes and Travis only has like 3 biting songs rest are unique to him don't pretend you've listened to enough of either to say otherwise
Jun 15, 2015 lol i knew the hopsin sentence would be the only part you commented on rofl which, i already explained in the same sentence why i included him as an example… he managed to take his biting and create his own identity
Jun 15, 2015 But he didn't at all and still to this day does the whole edgy joke thing to keep himself relevant by mirroring his whole aesthetic to marshalls sslp era
Jun 15, 2015 And like 2 spaces lower I responded to the rest. If you think Travis full on bites but think hopsin has made his own lane you legitimately do not know what you're talking about and I don't mean that maliciosly
Jun 15, 2015 alright ill agree with you then, hopsin is just as much a biter as thug and travis so why can't they be original?? s----s lame so much wasted potential it reminds me of those guys in vegas that do elvis shows… they could use their talent for something else, but best they can do is live in someones shadow
Jun 15, 2015 Except travis doesn't just bite, he's done it a whopping total of 4 times over 3 mixtapes and a few singles, so out of 40 songs he's done it 4 times. But yea it totally nullifies everything travis has done becasyebroughly 1/10 of is catalog is unoriginal
Jun 15, 2015 i dont see biting in any artist in the game like everyone has his idols and stuff but travis doesnt bite neither thug does just listen to the music and appreciate it
Jun 15, 2015 looks like you need to tell other people this stuff too.. cause right now travis is winning the poll
Jun 15, 2015 Thugger is the better artist but I definitely get why Travis is winning the poll. I'm heavy into Thug atm tho. Wait till Rodeo finally drops and my vote might be a little closer to possibly changing.
Jun 15, 2015 ppl who think thug's music sounds like wayne's don't listen to music very well and certainly aren't well versed in either artist's catalogues FREE BANDZ IN THE BUILDING
