Why are people (@Young Sinatra ) getting hated on for standing up for their opinion/people they like? Why is Logic's name even being thrown around in this thread? This is a Young thug thread.. This album is trash along with Thugs other work.

He has so much material man. So obviously you could come across like 15 tracks straight that are similar in style. but then another 15 that arent even close nahmean?

Hey look, your first straight forward/rational post so far in this thread

But yeah I definitely understand those sentiments. Id like to add that its not his delivery really...his delivery is something I can see people not f---ing with because of how abrasive it can be at times, and how weird his voice is in general...its his flow. he has an impeccable ear for melodies and just, like, sense of rhythm in general.

so much of his music literally puts a smile on my face the minute I hear it. and Im not being hyperbolic in anyway. like when I hear this, I cant help but love life

After first listen Check, Halftime, Knocked Off, Just Might Be are the dopest songs on the project.

The pros of this project are clear to me: really crazy flows and most of these melodies are great. The beat selection for the most part is dope too.
My problem with Young Thug is still that I don't care really what he has to say. Sure he might give you a little insight on something like Just Might Be, but for the most part its few cool quotables and a lot of corny lines other artists would get butchered for. Even Rae Sremmurd have the quotables, but they still have clearer song ideas and verses that fit a certain theme even when there's not much substance there. That's hardly ever the case with Young Thug, which is cool but its the truth.

I feel like people should give Young Thug a chance because there is some dope stuff you can take away, but as an artist I will never truly take him seriously because he doesn't present himself as someone I should take seriously. That's why I don't agree when his fans put him top 5 or say that he's even better than Wayne. He's that guy that goes to a job interview dressed in t-shirt and gym shorts and his fans somehow expects him to get the job. Seriously, doesn't mean he should have socially conscious material or should be more serious in tone, but as an artist he comes across as sometimes gimmicky. He's not that genuine to me and thats the only reason he can't be up there with best right now. He's definitely enjoyable though.

I know. People might be put off by how aggressively I attack them for "just stating their opinions" but there's a difference between voicing your opinion and coming in a thread to be a blissfuly ignorant idiot

I love the former type of people cause they provide a different POV and spark discussion
