Sep 30, 2015 This is not toward the song's quality itself, this is for what song is better as an apology song. How well do you think the apology is in both songs and do you think the people who were offended by what Em did forgave him because of this track? I think most of us will pick Headlights, as it was a more personal song, but it's not that simple. First off, It's clear that Em's mom wasn't really fit to be a parent, so when he got pissed at her in Cleanin Out My Closet, it was justified. He really didn't have to make an apology to his mom, and with YBR it's a different story. With that song, he was apologizing for something he had no right to do, and that was being racist. Sure, you can argue that he was a child at the time and he was just angry, but still he said something racist and had to face the consequences of his actions. With that song, he pretty much had to apologize, and he didn't just give a simple speech saying he's sorry for the track, he explained in detail why he made Foolish Pride in the first place. So, in terms of what track was more necessary, I'd have to go with YBR. With Cleanin Out My Closet he was somewhat justified at getting mad at his mom because of all the stuff she did to him and he didn't have to apologize, but with Foolish Pride he was not justified in singling out a whole race like he did. So, what song is better as an apology song? For me it probably would have to be Headlights, as he didn't even have to make that song, but he was kind enough to do so anyway, and it allowed him to have a better relationship with his mom.
Sep 30, 2015 No, this was a serious thread and one I've been thinking about making for a while now. The timing was right so I decided to make it.
Sep 30, 2015 It's a pretty great song and it's sad that it and other great songs had to be in the same album as songs like Rain Man and Just Lose It.
Sep 30, 2015 a------ isn't so bad (apart from that beat), but I agree with So Far. Nut Up was not okay to release but So Far was Glad to see what Em thinks is passing material
Sep 30, 2015 Nah man a------ and So Far are worse than Just Lose It and Rain Man. At least Rain Man had a chilled out vibe to it, and Just Lose It is pretty bad but not as bad as a------ or So far. s--- if he only released Encore with Ricky Ticky Toc, We As Americans, Love You more and replaced Big Weenie, My 1st Single, Puke, it would be a classic with just a few duds(just lose it, a--- like that etc.)
Sep 30, 2015 What's so wrong with a------? I really can agree with you on So Far (that was a pretty stupid song and the toilet humor wasn't needed in the first verse), but I don't get what's so wrong with a------.
Sep 30, 2015 You do have somewhat a point with the beat, and I'll kind of give you a point with the hook. I don't get what's so wrong with the flow in the song. It's somewhat smooth in the first verse.
Sep 30, 2015 not for me, I'm more for the chilled out vibe of Rain Man than a------. Tired of him screaming, rapping obnoxiously over wack beats
Sep 30, 2015 With Rain Man he was pretty drugged up, so it makes sense for him to be chilled. Though Rain Man is a good song to relax to and I actually do find myself listening to it way more than a------.
