Mar 2, 202515. Pusha T - It's Almost Dry (2022) [March 2nd, 2025]
I played the s--- outta this album back when it released. I still think it's great, albeit weaker than Daytona. Gonna listen to a new album for the first time in a week today or tomorrow hopefully.

Relisten time. holy s--- Ghost is my favorite Wu member by a mile. f---ing stellar album. I still prefer Fishscale a bit more, but this is still f---ing incredible.Last edited: Apr 13, 2025Ordinary Joel, albumdrill and Allis Mines like this. -

5. Lou Reed- Berlin (1973) [February 25th, 2025]
Yet another relisten. Honestly, I might prefer this over Transformer. This album is just like... really f---ing sad man. "Caroline Says II" and "Sad Song" almost made me tear up. Man.Last edited: Apr 13, 2025Ordinary Joel, Jimmy Jazz and Allis Mines like this. -

4. Mos Def - Black on Both Sides (1999) [February 25th, 2025]
Another relisten. This record had a grasp on me 4-5 years ago, and it's still great. I remember being REALLY into Mos Def for a bit. "New World Water" f---ing rocks. Might need to revisit TND and the Ecstatic at some point.Ordinary Joel, albumdrill and Allis Mines like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

3. Kanye West - Yeezus (2013) [February 24th, 2025]
Another relisten. Decided to play this on a whim. I've never had a solid choice, but I'd say the run from MBDTF to TLOP are at the top of Ye's discog imo. I still love the production. Kinda hard to listen to Ye without acknowledging his actions (seriously, wtf is up with that swastika shirt), but I don't let it taint his older work too much. Going forward though? I am Notttttt gonna be kind to BULLY if it ever drops. Lou Reed did a good analysis on this record before he passed, which is pretty cool, and I'll link it below.
