I doubt they would do this. Omega gets them more worldwide visibility but Naito makes them the most money...by creating and giving Kenny the US title they can take advantage of both of these

He was supposed to be in the role Okada is now but fans rejected him. Basically what Rob said. Now he's the most over guy in Japan.

From a work standpoint he's one of the best in the world, my #3 behind Okada and Omega. Always in for a classic when he's near the top of the card.

Well basically his reinvention of himself and his character is what rlly got the fans behind him this year. He is a p great wrestler, if you didnt know he will showcase it tonight :D, and NJPW saw his talent too early I guess and let him win the G1 2013, although Okada and Nakamura rlly were starting to become the crowds favourite (and Hiroshi obviously, but he is The Ace anyway) and he was just a dull babyface no gimmick wrestler with lots of potential. His career went pretty low-key ever since, but the fans loved him since he came up with the Los Ingobernables and introduced Luchadores to the NJPW Jr Heavyweight Division, build an international fanbase in CMLL aswell, started showing a character (being a bad a--- heel, cutting promos, starting feuds, etc.) and he became a Twitter legend in 2017 aswell :D. They f----- up his title reign tho ngl

I hope Naito gets a good title reign this time, since he finally has the perfect heel role and is over af. And I cant take Okada as champ anymore after that trilogy with Omega tbh
