i've seen some of your lists
based off what i can tell you have this.. "against the grain" or "underground" (for lack of better words) type taste toward rap music

theres nothing wrong with that its just unorthodox.. you are hipster in THAT sense

I'm pretty sure you introduced me to slug from atmosphere unless I'm thinking of someone else

i know you have good taste its just.. it seems "obviously unorthodox" on purpose.. which puts off the hipster vibe

this just means you don't listen to very much rap music. almost no one who i write about extensively/praise on here is particularly obscure.

even in my "top albums of the year so far, five of the first six are on major labels

i may have put you onto atmosphere...a group that has a massive worldwide following, whose albums chart on billboard. not exactly "underground" in any real sense.

i dig for and find new/unheard of artists all the time, but none of my thoughts on music are dictated by some aesthetic choice or desire to be "different." i named a kanye west album the best of the decade. you're saying a bunch of things, but none of them are rooted in anything resembling reality.
