Jan 24, 2017 i definitely agree but tbh, theyre just 2 different games for different target audiences idk, but i was definitely super interested when i read the new patch notes and honestly nowadays i really prefer watching tournaments to playing myself so its so much fun to see pro's adapt to 7.00, so far its been great also the only reason people use legacy keys is probably that they are simply used to it. take for example counter strike, lots of pros play on 4:3 blackbars because that's more comfortable to them, even though it is a clear disadvantage.
Jan 24, 2017 see here's the thing if you really wanna get into dota you have to put on countless of hours because the game is so f---ing complex and the learning curve is insane not everyone is so competetive and passionate about video games, and that is completely fine but then again just playing dota casually can be super fun when you try out some really weird stuff because the meta isnt forced at all like on league
Jan 24, 2017 it is, but hey buy those skins, i'm sure the multi-billion dollar chinese company tencent is loving your $$ going into their pockets. s---, really? do you need to download a third-party program to change dota 1 hotkeys? (back when i played like 10 years ago, the reason the hotkeys were all over the keyboard was cause a lot of hotkeys were set-in-stone sorta for W3, so the people who made dota had to use certain keys for spells.)
Jan 24, 2017 yeah there's a bit of a learning curve if you come from LoL to Dota2. imo the big thing that ruined League was "cater to audience" and "get all our info off reddit, all they do is whinge and complain" now it's just a constant cycle of nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf, re-work entire game cause people think its s---. nerf, nerf, nerf, nerf, re-work entire game cause people think its s---. and this has been going on like twice a year for the past 3-4 years. LoL was 1000x better in BETA also competitive game, get banned for typing in chat "f--- YEAH BOYS!" after getting a team wipe.
Jan 25, 2017 wait i'm confused, so you can't change spell hotkeys at all? or you can as its built into the game? and 'you do for items' as in, you do need a third party program? lol your post melted my brain
Jan 25, 2017 u can change spellhotkeys without any third party program but item hotkeys u need one i meant sorry
Jan 25, 2017 lol all good, just was confused for a sec. That's pretty mad though, i remember the worst part of dota 1 was hotkeys - specifically juggernauts hotkey for omnislash being 'N' when i used to rest atleast one finger on 'A' to attack/deny on the flow. reaching from A to N got me killed many times playing jugg lmfao
