Aug 23, 2015 Well Eminem said himself it's not a revisit to MMLP but as it was 13 years on it's purpose is the same in that it's meant to give us some insight into where his at in life at this moment in time. There were three songs on the album in total that did this, the other 13 were just songs
Aug 23, 2015 Personally, I rank it among one of his worst albums. It's just kind of boring. Don't get me wrong I enjoy it and there's some great tracks. I dislike his voice and flow on songs like Rhyme Or Reason, a------, So Far..., and Love Game. There wasn't a lot of new information learned about him on this album either. Maybe that's why it's sort of boring to me.
Aug 24, 2015 Average album. Handfull of good/great songs, but also a few of the worst songs he ever did (Survival, Get back up and UUGH!!!!). A lot of the songs also have s-----y parts -not that I care about one or 2 bad lines- but they do bring the quality down a little. A few of the best songs are bonus tracks, replacing the worst songs with them still don't make the album better than 'good'. I don't think it's a bad album at all (as other said, average/good), but there are reasons enough to dislike it.
Aug 24, 2015 forgot about So Far cause it's mostly fictional but I guess it has a few lines, the other one is Bad guy pt 2
Aug 24, 2015 @Him Shadow is one of the biggest stans we have and probably thinks MMLP2 is a classic lol. the post was pure satire
Aug 24, 2015 okay good cuz if those reasons were real, holy f--- I mean I don't think it's a classic but I don't think it's bad.
Aug 24, 2015 Eminem is not even my favourite rapper in 2015 so I don't think you right just because I have a huge collection of Eminem related stuff lol I'm not a blind Stan, I'm just a big fan and no MMLP2 is not a classic wtf
Aug 24, 2015 If we remove the filler tracks, it's a cohesive and very interesting EP. 01. Bad Guy 02. Rhyme Or Reason 03. Berzerk 04. Brainless 05. Love Game 06. Baby / Groundhog Day 07. Evil Twin Survival, Legacy, Headlights, STIW, The Monster and the other bonus tracks are worse than Recovery tracks though. 2/10 songs.
Aug 24, 2015 Its a great album has a couple of s-----y tracks and its not a classic like the first 3 but its great regardless really looking forward to see how the next album sounds
Aug 24, 2015 Because the album plays exactly like what a stan with an extremely narrow field of knowledge on rap would make Lyrical multi s--- delivered with a flow that's literally the opposite of flowing it's so disjointed. Beats ranging anywhere from bad to just ok. Eminem Ft. Another Singer Chick. Everything about it reeks of post-prime eminem, with very few admirable qualities. Eminem went from debatably on top to falling off hard to still sucking to being caught in a rut for so long the stans have come to expect and somehow appreciate the mediocrity.
Aug 24, 2015 it's uninspired the production is meh on most songs eminem started forcing multies to make up for a lack of content a decent amount of the flows don't sound good to me lack of features calling it mmlp 2 i didnt like either def a marketing ploy which for me raised expectations for something darker
Aug 24, 2015 A few great tracks, a few bad ones and a majority of average tracks Not a bad album but and average - good one
Aug 24, 2015 MMLP2 is a classic. Joke. Honestly, it's a decent album with great songs but it also has its share of mediocre songs with poor mixing and bad production. When I talk about great songs, they really do set the bar high for modern Em. These songs show us that he can still write a song...a story. Bad Guy, Evil Twin or Rap God are top 30 for me. Wicked Ways, Desperation, Groundhog Day, Baby, Rhyme or No Reason, So Far are very decent songs and shows that Em can keep the production and flow simple. It's definitely his best album post comeback. What he needs to improve on is by integrating a concept and following that concept for the whole album like MMLP, TES, SSLP. A concept that will appeal in the age of the internet and social media. He needs to come up with something new. Clearly he's running out of topics to rap about such as his struggle with success, dealing with a close friend's death, his comeback. Just an album with a consistent concept. The old formula. Songs that tell stories and evoke raw emotion instead of pop-esque hits with pop singers on the hook for a desperate attempt at radio play. His flow needs to be consistent. Inviting to the ear. The stop start multisyllabic lines can only go so far. 2015 has shown that he's trying to mix it up and tone it down which is great. Hopefully all of this on an album and it comes together to make one great big c-m-sandwich.
